Nottingham Motor Show 2024

The 8th and 9th of June are fast approaching and will soon be upon us. The event is shaping up to be as good as last year with a wide variety of cars to see and activities to do. This year there is even going to be a flypast by a Lancaster Bomber from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight! On the 8th the event will showcase new cars with the main event happening on the 9th where cars and car clubs from the region will attend.

We are attending as a club on the 9th and welcome anyone to come down and ask us questions about EV ownership. We will be there, with our own cars, and will happily give you recommendations based on your own circumstances. Our cars will also be there for you to look around, so if you are interested in any of the models listed below, come and chat to the owner to find out what it is like to live with.

The cars we have confirmed.

Nissan Leaf 62 kWh – This car is a great used purchase and with strong reliability these make a good recommendation. The only drawback is the rapid charging uses a different plug which aren’t as common.

Tesla Model 3 Long Range – The easy recommendation if you need to travel long distances. The long range and access to the Tesla Supercharger network makes mile munching a breeze.

Tesla Model X – Great for families the Tesla Model X offers plenty of space. It has the famous falcon wing doors that make getting in and out easy. The only problem is if you want a new one then you have to get a right hand drive only.

Tesla Model Y Long Range – Similar to the Tesla Model 3 this car is an easy recommendation to people who need range. The model Y offers significant improvements to space and practicality over the Model 3 due to the hatch back shape.

Hyundai Kona 64 kWh – Another mile muncher and one of my used car top picks from the previous article. While the boot space isn’t massive, the car is practical for most families. The Kona in this large battery trim is also capable of 300 miles so is suitable for the long journeys too.

This is just a small collection of cars that we have confirmed now, so make sure you visit us to see what else we have brought along. In addition to our cars there will be new cars to look round too. These cars will, brought down by dealerships, will be available for you to get in and have a look round.  The Nottingham Motor Show this year is shaping up to be a great event. As a club we can’t wait to see you there on the 9th of June.
